1. Who we are
MemoValet ("we", "us") provides a service that turns meeting transcripts and recordings into summaries, decisions, action items, and translated captions. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at adrian.kulatunga@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, and if you sign in with Google or Microsoft, the name and email associated with that account.
- Meeting content: transcripts you paste or record, and, if you choose to record live, audio and video captured through your browser.
- Calendar data: if you connect Google or Microsoft calendar access, we read (never modify) upcoming event titles, times, and participants so you can attach a meeting to an event. This is read only access.
- Usage information: basic product analytics such as which features you use, so we can improve the product.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Generate summaries, key decisions, action items, and translated captions from your meeting content, using Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing.
- Show upcoming meetings from your connected calendar so you can attach notes to them.
- Send exports to the destinations you explicitly enable (Google Docs, Gmail, Trello, Slack, or Notion), only when you turn that export on for a given meeting.
- Operate, maintain, and improve MemoValet, including troubleshooting and security.
4. Who we share information with
We don't sell your data. We share information only with the service providers needed to run MemoValet, and only for that purpose:
- Anthropic: processes transcript text to generate summaries, translations, and answers to your questions.
- Supabase: hosts our database, authentication, and file storage (including recorded video, if you use that feature).
- Google / Microsoft: used only to sign you in and, if you grant it, read only calendar access.
- Vercel: hosts the MemoValet application.
- Any export destination you personally enable for a meeting (Google Docs, Gmail, Trello, Slack, Notion): only that specific meeting's content is sent, only when you turn the toggle on.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your meetings for as long as your account is active, so you can search and revisit your history. You can delete individual meetings or your entire account at any time by contacting us; deleted data is removed from our active systems within 30 days.
6. Security
We use standard industry measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and scoped API credentials, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.
7. Your choices
You can disconnect your Google or Microsoft account at any time from your account settings or directly from that provider's own permissions page. You can also request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing us.
8. Children's privacy
MemoValet is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to adrian.kulatunga@gmail.com.
